Selected for the Guild of Aviation Artists 2012 exhibition in the Mall Galleries London.
The M-2 and her sister boat the M-1 were originally fitted with a 12inch gun. In the Spring of 1930 the M-2 was converted to carry a small biplane; the Parnall Peto. Both boats were lost in tragic circumstances. The M-2 sank with all hands in January 1932 off Portland. Only two bodies were recovered and all attempts to raise the boat failed. The wreck is now a popular dive site.
